In Case of an Emergency

The Rapids Veterinary Hospital provides day emergency services to our current, active clients during regular business hours.  To be considered as an active client we need to have seen your pet for a physical exam within the last 18 months.

We recommend all after-hour emergency calls be directed to a Telemedicine Triage Service: Smart.Vet. Smart.Vet will allow you to speak with an Ontario licensed veterinarian to help assess your pet and meet your pet's urgent needs.  There is a fee for this service.  Many cases can be assessed and treated over the phone or video chat.  There is a fee for this service.  If your pet needs to be directed to an emergency veterinary clinic, Smart.Vet will direct you to the nearest emergency hospital.
